I hope you like the cables. They are a definite improvement over what the factory gave you.
If for some reason you don’t like them, let me know and I’ll gladly refund your money, change the length, or whatever will make you happy.

They are constructed from premium grade #4 welding cable for maximum amperage carrying capacity and minimum voltage drop.
The cable is very flexible to make the routing in your bike easier. It is the same diameter as your stock cables.
The connectors are manufactured from high-grade copper and have been gold plated for the best possible electrical connection to
your battery, starter, and ground.
I first solder the connectors to the wires, and then crimp them using a proprietary two stage crimping process I developed
that doesn’t disturb the solder connection.
I feel this gives the very best in conductivity and vibration resistance.

I highly recommend paying particular attention to the grounding points on your bike.
I advise removing the paint at the grounding point, and placing a star washer between the cable end and the frame
Once the cable is installed, a small dab of paint will eliminate the possibility of corrosion.
The star washers can be purchased at your local hardware store for a few pennies each.

Be sure to remove the protective covering from your old positive cable and install it onto your new one, or you could install a split-loom covering.

Failure to install a protective covering on the positive cable could allow the cable
to rub through to ground, causing a direct unprotected short and possible fire.

The price of a three-cable set (E-Glide and Dyna) is $32, two-cable sets (Softail) are $24, and I’ll pay shipping.
I don’t charge more for additional lengths like you see in the Harley Parts retailers that cover aftermarket cables.
If someone wants special lengths; I just need the measurement from the center of one eye to the center of the opposite eye.
Special orders are gladly accepted at $10 per cable plus $4 shipping/handling.

Sincerely,

Richard Weihert

You can e-mail me at YOOPER CABLES with any questions.

A close-up of the connectors, excellent stuff!!!

On my 04 RKClassic this earth lead is is branched off the main negative lead that goes from the battery to the
earth mounting at Motor/Starter.

As far as I know this is the ONLY earth for the entire bike with a rubber mounted Motor!!!
Previous years they had a seperate cable just like the YOOPERS ones.

The other side of the O.E.M. earth cable for the Starter/Motor.

Yuk, I must wash it too much LOLOL. Definately a problem waiting to happen!!!

Off with the Negative/Earth cable and it's *off-shoot*. I've already dis-connected the Starter/Motor end.

Remove the positive cable on the Starter post and the positive cable end from the battery and remove.
( Note: AFTER disconnecting the negative!!!! ALWAYS dis-connect the negative/earth FIRST!!! )

Remove the protective tubing from your old positive cable. . .

( The negative/earth cable doesn't really need protecting but there is no problem if you want to add
protective tubing if you have some spare. )

And slide the YOOPER cable through. . .

Done!!! Easy as pie...
