*YOOPERS* battery cable page 2..
I noticed that the 04 O.E.M. cables were similar but nowhere near the same spec.
HD = Top. YOOPER = Bottom two.
I used a Dremel tool to clean up the Starter post.
( That other cable goes to the 40amp Maxi-Fuse. )
This is a pic from earlier, the O.E.M. negative cable is still there, ( dis-connected from the battery end of course LOL ).
Dremel around the earth post back to bare metal...
Same with the negative earth point at the Starter, back to the bare metal...
Star washers for the Starter mounting bolt.
I'm putting two on, one each side of cable end...
A star washer for the main body negative post...
Wasn't too sure which went on first, the YOOPER battery cable or the 40amp Maxi-Fuse lead LOL...
This is the Maxi-Fuse lead...
Dremeled the underside of the Starter post nut to bare metal...
I went with the YOOPER cable on first then the 40amp Maxi-Fuse cable.
Be VERY carefull when tightening this post as it can spin inside and make a circuit with the starter housing
when you connect the negative cable!!!
You can actually remove the end cover and slide out the solenoid plunger to get an open ended spanner
on the inside of that post and stop it twisting. Just make sure you do this BEFORE connecting the negative cable!!!
( If it twists, and turns too much the connections inside can break also. )
AFTER finishing with the positive cable THEN connect the negative.
.All tightened up and ready to get some EXTRA battery POWER to the Starter!!!
